We strive to promote freemasonry within the motorcycling community and to introduce motorcycling to our non-riding Brethren.
As Masons we are committed to “Brotherly love, relief and truth”, the tenets of our lives. As Widows Sons we are devoted to supporting the Widows and families of our Masonic Brethren.
We hold events and rides as fundraisers for numerous charities including the Masonic Homes in Sewickley PA and other benevolent endeavors.
Although not officially recognized by the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, we are not an appendant body of Freemasonry, nor do we speak or act as representatives of such.
Our members are not “bikers” or a gang, and pledge to support our fraternity and do not show allegiance to any club. Out members are basically a “Masonic Booster Club” striving to make Freemasonry known to Motorcyclists, while improving fellowship and supporting our local Lodges and communities.
Membership into a local Widows Sons Chapter is open to Pennsylvania Masons owning any 500cc or larger motorcycle or trike capable of maintaining interstate speeds in compliance with DMV regulations.
Master Masons as “full “ members make up our majority; they are entitled to vote and become Chapter Officers. “Associates” are E.A. and F.C. Brothers, who join in all the activities without voting or Officer privileges. Our ladies are considered invited to be “companion” members.
There are many Widows Sons Chapters across the state of Pennsylvania, all of which have the same core beliefs as outlined above. As a Pennsylvania Masonic Motorcycle rider you are welcome to join any one of these Chapters and become part of the “Masonic Motorcycling Brotherhood.
If you know of any Masonic Widow or their family that could use our help or, if you are interested in becoming a Widows Son, please contact us at: bott@bottmra.com
